Engineering by Euan

We’ve recently had a few engineers in P4,their names are Mr McFarlane, Lee, Mrs Kapushiak and Mr Ritchie They taught us about civil and railway engineering. My favorite engineer was Mrs Kapushiak because she let us try on equipment. My favorite part was trying on equipment it was really really good,we got to try on a lot of things such as:steel toe boots,hard hat,hard cap, high vis things and thats it.We got to see power points about engineering.

Fitnut by Sofia K

The 3rd of march we done fitnut we had 31 stations . I went on the dinosaur feet first and then i did jogging next.There was also a space hopper ,trampoline and a skipping rope.It was very fun i was beside Ebony. Ebony was on the walker.The next time there was a lady called Lynn she made a smoothie with us.It had blueberrys, banana, milk, yoghurt. i really want to do it again so i hope like my blog bye.

Scottish Bridges

We have been learning about Scottish Bridges and it is really fun. We learned about lots of bridges.e.g.the Erskine Bridge, The Forth Road Bridge, The Tay Bridge. The Erskine Bridge was built in 1967. In 2006 people charged you 60p to cross.The Erskine bridge is a box girder and a cable stayed. We also went on a school trip to the Forth Bridges and listened to the engineers who work on the bridge and we were able to ask lots of questions. We had a great time!

Kilbowie Primary School are about to begin an exciting chapter in their curricular development as we are joining with West Dunbartonshire's new initiative 'Our Cloud - Google Tools for Education'. Through this, our children will be developing ICT skills for learning, life and work and will be given opportunities to use these skills to create a blog to update you on their learning and their achievements - WATCH THIS SPACE - Coming February 2016
